Mobile valeting and detailing are both car care services, but they differ in scope. Valeting typically involves a thorough clean of both the exterior and interior, focusing on removing dirt and grime to keep the car looking fresh. Detailing, on the other hand, is a more in-depth process that includes correction, protection, and restoration, aiming to bring the vehicle to near-original condition. V-specs mobile car valets all include detailing.
Car valeting preserves your vehicle’s appearance, protects against long-term damage, and can drastically improve its resale value. By removing contaminants, correcting paint imperfections, and applying protective coatings, mobile detailing keeps your car looking newer for longer, potentially saving you money on repairs and repainting down the line.
For regular upkeep, a paint-safe hand wash every 2-4 weeks will maintain your car's exterior and keep the paint's protection topped up. A mobile maintenance valet, which includes a quick clean of both interior and exterior, is ideal every month. For a more thorough clean, a full valet every 3-4 months is recommended. This comprehensive service addresses deeper grime and ensures your car remains in top condition, both inside and out. Regular valeting not only keeps your car looking great but also helps protect its value.
For a daily driver, we recommend a non-abrasive Polish every 6-12 months to decontaminate and deep-clean the paintwork, and renew its protection. Our single and multi-stage paint corrections are generally only recommended for vehicles that suffer from paint defects, such as swirl marks and scratches.
Yes, detailing can remove or reduce the appearance of scratches and swirls through processes like paint enhancement or correction. This involves carefully polishing the paint to eliminate surface imperfections, restoring the vehicle’s shine and smoothness. However, deep scratches that penetrate the paint may require more extensive repair.
Valeting involves thoroughly cleaning upholstery, carpets, and other surfaces, which can effectively remove trapped odours. We offer a deep-clean and sanitisation package which includes steam and antibacterial treatment to neutralise and eliminate stubborn smells, leaving your car’s interior fresh and clean. However, we cannot guarantee the removal of strong smells like cigarette smoke or sour milk.
It all comes down to value, the level of detail, and quality of products and service. In-Out quick washes can offer cheap valets because they rely on high volume and low costs. This generally means they need to rush their services and cannot provide the level of meticulous detail and care a dedicated mobile valeting and detailing business can offer. To keep costs down, roadside washes have to use lower quality tools and cheap cleaning products. While your car looks clean on the surface, harsh brushes and overused utensils can cause swirl marks and scratches on your vehicle's paint. Cheap wax will not offer the same protection and visual appeal as a premium quality product. This affects the long term value of your vehicle and could require extensive correction work in the future. High-end valeting and detailing service providers take their time, follow meticulous maintenance procedures, and use high-end products that deliver exceptional results and protect your vehicle's looks and value for years.
